Public meeting scheduled June 2 in Grand Rapids to discuss Hwy 2 restriping project

DULUTH, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation has scheduled a public meeting to gather comments and provide information about a 2017 restriping project to create turn lanes on Highway 2. The project area runs between County Road 63 in Grand Rapids and County Road 62 in Cohasset.

The project will involve restriping for left turn lanes on Highway 2. Layouts showing turn lane options will be posted.

The meeting is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 2, in the Itasca County Board Room, at the Itasca County Courthouse, 123 NE St., Grand Rapids, MN  55744. There will be a formal presentation at 5:30 p.m.
