Interstate 35, Highway 61, Highway 194 resurfacing project begins May 9 in Duluth
DULUTH, Minn. — Motorists traveling on I-35 in Duluth will be restricted to a single lane in each direction between 5th Avenue West and London Road from Monday, May 9 through Mid-June as crews resurface the freeway and make drainage improvements. Motorists may also encounter temporary ramp closures during this project. Only one ramp in each direction will close at a time.
Beginning Wednesday, May 11, motorists will encounter areas restricted to a single lane on Mesaba Avenue while crews make drainage repairs. Work on Mesaba Avenue will be completed in Mid-June.
Work on Highway 61 near Knife River will not begin until mid-June. Motorists will be restricted to a single lane in each direction when this project begins.
Motorists should expect delays in the project areas.
Work on all three highways will be completed in mid-July 2016.
