Orange barrels on a highway

Many intersections are out-of-service in Duluth and surrounding areas

Motorists should use caution and follow traffic laws

DULUTH, Minn. – Widespread power outages in Duluth and surrounding areas have caused many signalized intersections to be out-of-service.

Motorists should be cautious as they approach any uncontrolled intersection and remember that they must yield to traffic on the right.

Motorists may encounter brief lane or road closures as crews remove downed trees on highways. Closures such as this are usually short term. Motorists and pedestrians should watch out for branches and other debris that may still be on roadways.
Drive slowly and cautiously around work crews clearing debris and downed power lines.
