About this project
While majority of the Twin Ports Interchange project will begin spring of 2021, preparation work is beginning this summer. Central Entrance/Hwy 194 will be a signed detour, and MnDOT will be repaving portions of it beginning July 6 to handle the extra traffic. Central Entrance/Hwy 194 is scheduled to be reconstructed in 2026.
Two sections of Central Entrance/Hwy 194 will be repaved - 400 feet west of Anderson Road to Blackman Avenue and 400 feet west of Mesaba Avenue to Mesaba Avenue. Work will take about two weeks and be done at night to reduce traffic impacts.
