Two open houses to take place in Bagley next week

Highway 2 potential restriping; Highway 92 construction

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The public is invited to take part in a pair of open houses in Bagley next week. The meetings will be held separately and will provide the public an opportunity to ask questions and get the latest updates regarding a potential restriping project on Highway 2 and a resurfacing project on Highway 92. Both meetings will be held at Bagley City Hall, 18 Main Avenue South.

The Highway 2 meeting will be held from 5:30 - 7 p.m. on Monday, March 26. Under consideration is an option to restripe the highway into a three-lane section that would include a center turn lane, bike and parking lanes. This option would seek to increase safety for pedestrians crossing Highway 2, reduce overall speeds on the corridor and reduce crashes. mndot.gov/d2/projects/2018/hwy2-bagley

The Highway 92 meeting will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 29. The project will resurface Highway 92 between the railroad tracks south of Highway 2 and Bagley High School. The project requires staged detours, including a two week detour at the intersection of Highway 2/92. It will begin on May 14 and last through mid-August. mndot.gov/d2/projects/2018/hwy92-bagley
