Temporary detour of Hwy 59 in Thief River Falls scheduled to begin Oct. 8 for railroad repairs
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists will encounter a temporary detour and closure of Highway 59 (Third Street) in Thief River Falls starting Tuesday, Oct. 8, as railroad crews replace the crossing. Traffic will be detoured to First Street, Brooks and Arnold through Oct. 11.
The work is expected to take approximately four days to complete, weather permitting.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, and reminds them to slow down in the work zone and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
