Ruff road surfaces, out-of-date sidewalks, issues with drainage
Highway 210 through Crosby-Ironton has not been rehabilitated since 1989, and is in need of repair. Drainage and roadway operational issues have also been identified within the project limits. Pavement that is not preserved with regular resurfacing after original construction will fall into deeper repair, requiring more costly repairs and less return on the initial investment. The need for the reconstruction portion of the project is not the typical roadway need, but rather is related to adjusting curb lines to meet the requirements of the American Disabilities Act (ADA) on the existing sidewalk facilities and ramps. Many portions of the project can be addressed with simple resurfacing and sidewalk/ramp repairs, not requiring full reconstruction.
