Shoulder closures at Hwy 55/County Road 14 intersection near Buffalo begin April 18
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists traveling Highway 55 east of Buffalo may encounter intermittent slow traffic after shoulder closures at the Highway 55/County Road 14 intersection begin Monday, April 18.
The intermittent shoulder closures are part of a project to reconstruct the Highway 55/County Road 14 intersection. The project will add dedicated turn lanes to Highway 55 at County Road 14, install new LED lighting at the Highway 55/County Road 14 intersection and make other improvements.
Highway 55 at County Road 14 will be reduced to a single lane with flaggers controlling traffic through the Highway 55/County Road 14 intersection later this year. More details on those lane closures will be issued as details become available.
When complete in June 2016, the project will help improve safety at the Highway 55/County Road 14 intersection and improve drainage in the area.
The project is one part of a multi-year, multi-project plan to improve safety and mobility on Highway 55 in Wright County and Highway 25 in Buffalo.
