Highway 23 Road Safety Audit final draft now posted online

Findings will be presented at public meeting in Foley September 11

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation issued the final draft of the Highway 23 Road Safety Audit earlier today, Friday, Sept. 8.

The findings of the audit will be presented at a public open house Monday, Sept. 11, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Foley City Hall, 251 Fourth Ave. N. The presentation is scheduled to begin at 6:45, and will be followed by a question and answer session. Anyone interested in learning about the audit, its findings, or improving safety on Highway 23 between Foley and Milaca are invited to attend.

The audit can be viewed or downloaded and printed online at mndot.gov/d3/projects/h23foleytomilaca/ . All who plan to attend the meeting are encouraged to view or print the audit, if possible, before the Sept. 11 meeting.

The Road Safety Audit is one part of a multi-agency effort to improve safety along Highway 23 in Benton and Mille Lacs counties.
