Lane, ramp closures planned for I-90 at Dresbach bridge, Feb. 16 and Feb. 17

ROCHESTER, Minn. –   Interstate 90 motorists should slow down and be alert for lane and ramp closures in the Dresbach bridge construction zone Feb. 16 and Feb. 17, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

On Feb. 16 from 7 a.m. to noon, the right lane in eastbound I-90 will be closed. Then, on Feb. 17 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the westbound I-90 exit ramp for the boat landings near the Dresbach rest area will be closed. Motorists who want to use the boat landings can access the area via northbound Highway 61.

The $187.5 million river bridge project is a cooperative effort between the Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of transportation and will continue into the fall. The project includes constructing a new I-90 crossing over the Mississippi River and reconstructing the Highway 61/14 and the I-90 interchange.

MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
