Feb. 16 lane closure postponed for I-90 at Dresbach bridge

ROCHESTER, Minn. –   The scheduled lane closure for Interstate 90 eastbound on Feb. 16 has been postponed, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

A separate ramp closure scheduled for Feb. 17 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. will continue as scheduled. The westbound I-90 exit ramp for the boat landings near the Dresbach rest area will be closed. Motorists who want to use the boat landings can access the area via northbound Highway 61.

The lane closure for Feb. 16 has not been rescheduled. MnDOT will announce a new date when plans are set.

The $187.5 million river bridge project is a cooperative effort between the Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of transportation and will continue into the fall. The project includes constructing a new I-90 crossing over the Mississippi River and reconstructing the Highway 61/14 and the I-90 interchange.

MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
