Three-day lane closure set on eastbound I-90 near Dresbach Bridge
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Eastbound Interstate 90 motorists will encounter a right lane closure today, March 17, Monday, March 21 and Tuesday, March 22 near the Dresbach Bridge project, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The three days of lane closures are for construction work taking place adjacent to the roadway and is for the safety of motorists and construction workers. The closures will not be in place during the weekend.
Motorists should be alert for the changes and use slower speeds. Signs are in place in advance to warn drivers.
The traffic changes are part of the $187.5 million river bridge project that is entering its final year. Completion is expected in fall 2016.
The Dresbach Bridge project is a cooperative effort between the Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of transportation and will continue into the fall. The project includes constructing a new I-90 crossing over the Mississippi River and reconstructing the Highway 61/14 and the I-90 interchange.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
