Public meeting set March 31 for Winona Hwy 61/Gilmore Avenue reconstruction
ROCHESTER, Minn. — The public is invited to a meeting March 31 in Winona to hear about this summer’s construction work at the Gilmore Avenue-Highway 61 intersection, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
MnDOT and others involved in the project will be on hand at the meeting from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., on Thursday, March 31 at the Tandeski Center, 1200 Storr’s Pond Road, Winona. Formal presentations of the plans are scheduled at 4:15 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Construction is scheduled to begin May 9 to replace the outdated signal systems, and improve the overall safety and traffic operations of the corridor in the area. Construction is expected to wrap up at the end of September.
