Nighttime lane restrictions on Hwy 52 in Rochester begin April 18 for striping
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists on Highway 52 will encounter evening and overnight lane closures beginning Monday, April 18 as work begins to replace the highway striping from 85th Street Northwest to Highway 63, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The lane closures will alternate as work begins at 6 p.m., Monday. Work will continue overnight during the weekdays and wrap up each morning between 6 and 6:30 a.m. Work will not occur during peak travel times. About 75,000 vehicles travel daily along portions of Highway 52 in Rochester. Work is expected to be complete by May 20, weather permitting.
Motorists should be alert to lane closures that are likely to change daily. There will be equipment and workers on the highway in the work zones.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
