Hwy 61-Gilmore Avenue project begins April 18 in Winona
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 63 through Spring Valley on Monday, April 18 will encounter the start of concrete pavement repair and curb ramp improvement work, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Pedestrian ramp work will begin Monday, April 18 in Spring Valley.
On Monday, April 25, a two-week detour for southbound Highway 63 will go into effect. Traffic will remain open for northbound Highway 63 traffic through Spring Valley.
The southbound detour route is Fillmore County Road 39 south to Fillmore County Road 1, which continues south into Ostrander. Motorists then turn east (left) on Fillmore County Road 3 until it intersects with Highway 63.
Local traffic into Spring Valley can choose alternate routes for their local destinations.
The contractor, Chippewa Concrete Services, is repairing the concrete roadway in Spring Valley, as well as completing ADA curb ramp improvements and catch basin repairs. The detour will only be in effect for two weeks, but the remainder of the project is scheduled through the third week in May.
