Eastbound I-90 lane closure lifted in Austin after repairs completed
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Both lanes of eastbound Interstate 90 in Austin were reopened Thursday, June 30 in advance of the Fourth of July weekend after crews completed concrete pavement repairs, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The left lane of I-90 was closed for three and a half days for pavement repairs from exit 175 at Highway 105/Oakland Avenue West to exit 183 at Highway 56.
Later this summer, similar work will be done on the right eastbound lane. MnDOT will issue a new news release in advance of that work.
To learn more about the repairs, go to MnDOT’s Road Knowledge page at www.dot.state.mn.us/information/roads/cpr.html.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
