Hwy 65 (Main Street) fully open in Albert Lea after flooding
ROCHESTER, Minn. – All lanes of Highway 65 (Main Street) in Albert Lea are open near Fountain Lake, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Westbound lanes opened Wednesday, Oct. 5. Eastbound lanes opened Tuesday, Oct. 4 after being closed for flooding from Fountain Lake because of heavy rains last month.
Traffic was detoured during the closure.
Hwy 65 was the final state highway in southeast Minnesota to open after the flooding from heavy rains that occurred Sept. 21-22.
