Crews will work Sunday, June 11 in Winona to sandblast Bridge 5900
WINONA, Minn. – Motorists in Winona will see crews doing sandblasting work on Bridge 5900 this Sunday, June 11, but the work should not impact traffic, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Crews will work from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 11.
Rehabilitation work on Bridge 5900 will continue until late 2019 or early 2020. Work crews are sandblasting, painting and installing reinforcing plates on the bridge, which is closed to traffic. Traffic continues in both directions on the new bridge, which was completed in 2016.
Follow construction progress on the project website at www.mndot.gov/winonabridge.
Motorists should always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
