Hwy 19 closes May 7 west of Cannon Falls for bridge work through June
CANNON FALLS, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 19 will be detoured west of Cannon Falls beginning Monday, May 7 as rehabilitation work begins on a bridge over Prairie Creek, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The bridge is located on Highway 19 about 3.5 miles west of Highway 52. Crews will replace the pavement on the bridge deck, repair the bridge rail and replace guardrail.
The detour route for westbound Highway 19 motorists is Highway 52 north to Dakota County Road 86 to Highway 56 south to Highway 19. Eastbound motorists will follow the same detour in reverse.
The project is scheduled to be completed on June 29. PCiRoads of St. Michael, Minn., is the prime contractor on this $326,637 project.
