55th Street ramps at Hwy 52 in Rochester closed, detoured Sept. 25-28
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Hwy 52 motorists in Rochester are reminded of the scheduled 55th Street Northwest ramp detours beginning Wednesday, Sept. 25, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Motorists using the ramps at 55th Street will be detoured for two days on each side of the highway beginning Sept. 25.
The northbound exit and southbound entrance ramps (south side of 55th St.) will be closed Sept. 25-26.
The southbound exit and northbound entrance ramps (north side of 55th St.) will be closed Sept. 27-28. The closures could change if weather affects construction.
The detour involves using adjacent frontage roads and the 37th Street Northwest and 41st Street Northwest ramps. Signs will mark the detour. Motorists may choose alternate routes.
The ramp work is part of the Hwy 52 southbound resurfacing work that began on Sept. 16 from Oronoco to 85th Street north of Rochester. Work is expected to be completed Oct. 11.
Motorists may experience traffic slowdowns during the paving work on southbound Hwy 52, especially during the morning and afternoon commuting times and weekends.
