Public open house set Oct. 22 for I-90 repaving project near Austin
AUSTIN, Minn. — The public is invited to attend an information open house on Tuesday, Oct. 22 in Austin to learn about an Interstate 90 repaving project of the eastbound lanes west of Austin, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Representatives of MnDOT and others will be available to answer questions and provide information from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the large meeting room of the Austin Public Library, 323 Fourth Ave NE in Austin.
During the session, MnDOT will discuss the plan for 2020. People may drop by at any time during the session. Maps and information will be available for review.
In 2020, MnDOT will be resurfacing eastbound Interstate 90 from Freeborn County Road 46 east of Albert Lea to Highway 105 at Austin. The unbonded concrete overlay will only be on eastbound lanes, but it will affect ramps and traffic in both directions.
