Tree trimming scheduled to begin March 4 for Hwy 52 north of Chatfield
CHATFIELD, Minn. — Hwy 52 motorists between CR 7 and 100th Ave SE north of Chatfield will encounter temporary lane closures as construction crews trim trees along the route beginning March 4, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Crews will be working weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., after the busiest morning commute and before the increased traffic of the afternoon. As trees are trimmed along the roadway, flaggers will stop motorists for one-way traffic through the short work zone. Brief delays for motorists are possible.
The work schedule is weather dependent, but crews are scheduled to be completed by 3 p.m., March 13.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
