Hwy 13 slope repair completed by Oct. 17 Detour removed
MANKATO, Minn. – Motorists are advised that Highway 13 south of Highway 99 should open by Monday, Oct. 17 as crews are closing in on completing repair work to a failing slope.
Highway 13 has been detoured since Sept. 6.
The project included excavating an area just north of LeSueur County Road 138 where the road settled due to poor underlying soils. Crews replaced the poor soils with a light-weight geofoam material to prevent future sinking.
Raw Construction of Faribault is the contractor on the $450,000 project.
