Orange barrels on a highway

Lane restrictions on Hwy 169 Mankato to St. Peter for median adjustments

Slow down, watch for workers

MANKATO, Minn. – Motorists are advised of lane restrictions on Highway 169 from Mankato to St. Peter next week (Nov. 14 – 18) to make adjustments to three locations of median barrier.

The inside lanes will be closed and Highway 169 motorists will be expected to reduce their speed to 55 mph in the three areas.  The locations include one north of Belgrade Township Road 193 and two north of Oshawa Township Road 203 (367th Ave.).

The work includes an adjustment to the concrete raised median and crash cushions that will result in shortening the concrete barrier at each of the locations.  The modification will ensure there is a space between the crash cushion and the anchor of the high tension cable guard rail.

Highway 169 from Mankato to St. Peter was recently reconstructed to mitigate flooding and improve safety.
