2017 Hwy 15 construction is topic of Feb. 15 open house
MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the city of New Ulm will host an open house on the construction planned for Highway 15 from Highway 14 to 170th Street expected to begin this spring.
The open house is set for 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15 at the New Ulm City Hall, 100 N. Broadway.
The project includes resurfacing the deteriorating pavement on Highway 15, adding center two-way left turn lane between Bridge Street and Cottonwood Street and repairing two bridges. Improvements to sidewalks and traffic signals will be made as well as some utility work.
The bridge work at the Cottonwood River and the Little Cottonwood River will require Highway 15 traffic to be detoured for about six to eight weeks. The remaining work on Highway 15 will be completed under traffic with lane restrictions.
