I-90 bridge work in Rock County delayed until May 20
MANKATO, Minn. – Motorists are advised that Interstate 90 from the South Dakota border through the Beaver Creek area will be under construction beginning May 20.
I-90 traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction with reduced speeds for about three weeks to build the crossovers. As the project progresses, traffic will be reduced to two-way on two lanes until the project is complete in August. Motorists are advised to use caution in the work zone and watch for workers, equipment and traffic control devices.
Rock County Road 4 ramps will be closed one at a time. The westbound County Road ramp will be closed first when bridge work begins. Watch for signing.
The Travel Information Center at Beaver Creek will be closed for about two months at the end of July. However, travel information will be provided at the Adrian eastbound rest area during the closure.
The project includes repairing four bridges and replacing lighting and high tension median cable.
PCI Roads, LLC have been awarded the project with a bid of $6,791,564.81.
