Windom residents encouraged to attend Hwy 60 construction open house April 25
Construction expected to begin May 6
MANKATO, Minn. – Windom residents are encouraged to attend an open house for the construction of Highway 60 through Windom on Thursday, April 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Windom City Hall , 444 9th Street. Construction on the highway may begin as early as May 6 with lane restrictions and intersection closures.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation plans to resurface Highway 60 from Highway 62 to 490th Avenue, improve sidewalk crossing for accessibility and, with the city of Windom, complete some sewer work. Staff from MnDOT and the City, along with the contractor will be present to answer questions about the project.
Construction on Highway 60 will be done in phases with lanes reduced to single lanes in each direction. Left turns off of Highway 60 will be restricted at times and motorists should expect delays.

Duininck, Inc. of Albert Lea was awarded the project with a bid of $3,146,877.
