First open house for Marshall area Highway 23 safety assessment set for Feb. 24 in Marshall

WILLMAR, Minn. – Area residents, business owners and others are invited to attend an open house on Wednesday, Feb. 24 to learn about the Marshall area Highway 23 safety assessment.

The open house will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Marshall-Lyon County Library, 201 C St., in Marshall.

Attendees will be able to ask questions about the safety assessment and give feedback.  There will be no formal presentation.

Individuals not able to make the open house are encouraged to visit the web site at www.dot.state.mn.us/d8/projects/hwy23marshallstudy/ to learn more about the project. 

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and its partners, the city of Marshall, Lyon County and the Marshall Chamber of Commerce are conducting a safety assessment to evaluate the current and future performance of Highway 23 and develop short and long term strategies to manage the corridor now and in the future.
