Open house for concrete rehabilitation project on US 71 near Olivia

WILLMAR, Minn. –   The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting an open house on Thursday, August 11 at the Olivia City Hall (1009 Lincoln Ave. W) on the concrete rehabilitation project that will take place in September after Labor Day.  The open house will not include a formal presentation.  Community members are invited to come anytime between 4:30 and 5:30 pm to learn more about the project and its timeline.  This project will require a short detour, less than 2 weeks.  The detour route is displayed below.

MnDOT asks motorists to slow down and pay attention while driving through work zones.  Remember orange cones, no phones.  Motorists who speed through a work zone or who disobey work zone flaggers face a $300 fine.
