Orange barrels on a highway

Hwy 19 detour removed

WILLMAR, Minn. –   The Highway 19 detour near Fairfax has been removed and the road is now open to traffic.  The Highway 19 concrete rehabilitation project from Highway 4/Sibley County line to east of Fairfax began September 12.  This project is part of the overall 2016 district wide concrete rehabilitation project.

The detour of Highway 71 from Blomkest to Olivia is still in effect.  Interstate Improvement, Inc. is the contractor on the project.

MnDOT asks motorists to slow down and pay attention while driving through work zones.  Remember orange cones, no phones.  Motorists who speed through a work zone or who disobey work zone flaggers face a $300 fine.
