Public open house for Highway 22 and Highway 55 projects to be held in Eden Valley

WILLMAR, Minn. – MnDOT is hosting an open house on Thursday, Feb. 1 from 5-7 pm at the Eden Valley City Hall (171 Cossairt Ave. West) in Eden Valley to discuss the upcoming Highway 22 and Highway 55 projects.
 
The Highway 22 project includes the resurfacing of Highway 22 from Highway 12 to Highway 55.  Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements are planned along Highway 22.  Benefits of the project include a smoother road surface as well as increased accessibility for individuals with disabilities.  The estimated project cost is $2.7 million.

The Highway 55 project includes the resurfacing of Highway 55 from the Eden Valley/Meeker County line to the Stearns county line as well as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements along Highway 55.  Benefits of the project include a smoother road surface as well as increased accessibility for individuals with disabilities.  The estimated project cost is $2.1 million.

Both projects are scheduled to begin in early May, weather permitting, and will be complete in late July 2018.  Tree removal starts the week of February 5, 2018.  Knife River is the contractor.
