Bridge 1482

History and significance

Bridge 1482 is a king-post pony truss built around 1908. The bridge was moved to its present location in Schoneman County Park in Luverne Township, Rock County, in 1990 and now functions as a pedestrian bridge. Bridge 1482 is significant as a rare example of a king-post pony truss bridge in Minnesota and for its association with the Hewett Bridge Company, an important bridge manufacturing company in the state.
