Highway 61/97 road reconstruction open house scheduled for March 15 in Forest Lake

Construction of two roundabouts near Forest Lake High School continues this spring

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The public is invited to learn about the Highway 61/Forest Lake Boulevard N and Highway 97/Scandia Trail N roundabout construction project at an open house on Tuesday, March 15 in Forest Lake.

The open house is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the 2nd floor community room of the Forest Lake City Center at 1408 Lake St.

Major construction on the two-year project will begin this spring. This will be the second year of work on this project.  Open house attendees will have an opportunity to find out about project staging, traffic impacts and detours. Roundabout education and safety information also will be on display. There will be no formal presentation.

Studies show roundabouts are a proven safety improvement and contribute to better fuel efficiency.  In addition, roundabouts facilitate smoother traffic flow and lead to fewer traffic delays.
