Northbound Hwy 3 closing in Farmington July 8-11
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter delays and a detour on Highway 3 between Highway 50 and just south of 213th/Main Street in Farmington beginning Friday, July 8.
Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, July 8, northbound Highway 3 will be closed between Highway 50 and just south of 213th/Main Street as crews install pipe beneath the road.
Motorists should follow the signed detour using Highway 50, Pilot Knob Road and 195th Street in order to bypass the closure.
The road is expected to be reopened to a single lane in each direction between Highway 50 and Main Street by 5 a.m. Monday, July 11.
The construction will provide a smoother road surface, extend the life of the pavement, close or modify access to Highway 3, improve drainage and update pedestrian crossings to meet modern ADA requirements.
