Interstate 35E overnight lane closures rescheduled for July 6-8 in St. Paul
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will experience delays on northbound and southbound Interstate 35E between Maryland Avenue and Interstate 94 in St. Paul as overnight lane restrictions occur July 6-8.
The following lane closures are currently scheduled for each night:
- Wednesday, July 6: One lane on southbound I-35E will close at 7 p.m.; the road will be reduced to a single lane at 10 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. July 7.
- Thursday, July 7: One lane on northbound and southbound I-35E will close at 7 p.m.; the road will be reduced to a single lane in both directions at 10 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. July 8.
- Friday, July 8: One lane on northbound I-35E will close at 7 p.m.; the road will be reduced to a single lane at 10 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. July 9.
The lane closures are needed for additional permanent striping throughout the I-35E/Cayuga project area, as well as erection of an overhead sign. The work is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the case of rain or other poor weather conditions.
The work is part of the I-35E Cayuga project, which aims to reconstruct I-35E between University Avenue and Maryland Avenue, including replacement of the Cayuga Bridge, the Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge and the railroad bridges along I-35E.
