I-694 ramp openings set today in Little Canada
Westbound ramp to Lexington Avenue opened yesterday
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists will experience smoother traffic flow and easier access to local roads and businesses with the opening of the ramps from westbound I-694 to Rice Street and from Rice Street to westbound I-694 in Little Canada. The new ramps are expected to open to traffic by 5 p.m. this afternoon.
The ramp from westbound I-694 to Lexington Avenue reopened to traffic yesterday afternoon.
The ramps were closed for resurfacing as part of the two-year project to add a third lane to I-694 between Rice Street in Little Canada and Lexington Avenue in Arden Hills. Reconstruction of the westbound lanes is underway this year, followed by work next year on the eastbound lanes.
This year’s work is expected to be completed by late November.
Construction of a third general purpose lane on I-694 between Rice Street in Little Canada and Lexington Avenue in Arden Hills will began early this spring and will be complete by the fall of 2017.
