Ruth Street ramp to westbound I-94 closure in the east metro begins Sept 29 (today)
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — The Ruth Street ramp to westbound Interstate 94 in St Paul is currently closed. The closure was necessary for safety reasons. The ramp is expected to re-open in approximately one week.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour of White Bear Avenue, Burns Avenue, to westbound I-94. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slowdown in work zones.
The work is part of a larger two-year project which includes resurfacing both directions of Interstate 94 from Mounds Blvd to just east of Century Avenue in Woodbury, constructing and replacing noise walls, adding and extending auxiliary lanes in specific locations, bridge maintenance, updating signals and pedestrian access and improving drainage system. Construction is expected to be complete by late fall 2017.
