Westbound Hwy 36 ramp to northbound I-35E in Little Canada closing overnight Oct. 4-5
ROSEVILLE, Minn. —The westbound Highway 36 ramp to northbound Interstate 35E will close Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.
The ramp is expected to reopen by 7 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to follow the signed detour via the loops to avoid the closure. The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slowdown in work zones.
The closure is necessary as crews install guardrail near the ramp.
The work is part of the two-year I-35E Goose Lake Road and Highway 96 road resurfacing project. In addition to resurfacing, the work includes widening the road, re-decking and widening the Highway 96 bridge, replacing the I-35E bridges over Goose Lake Road, updating drainage, repairing guardrail and constructing a trail. The project is expected to be complete by Dec 2016.
