Ramp from westbound Hwy 10 to northbound I-35W closes April 3 in Arden Hills
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — As work continues on two new ramps at the south junction of Highway 10 and Interstate 35W in Arden Hills, the ramp from westbound Highway 10 to northbound Interstate 35W will close at 9 a.m. Monday, April 3. The ramp will remain closed and detoured through the end of August 2017.
The ramp, located on the Highway 10 diagonal between I-694 and I-35W, will close so construction crews can finish building a new ramp to carry that traffic over a second ramp being built this year. The second ramp will allow northbound I-35W traffic to reach Ramsey County Road H. It also will provide direct access to the Rice Creek Commons development on the site of the former Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant (TCAAP).
During the summer-long closure, traffic will detour west on I-694 to reach northbound I-35W. Westbound County Road 96 traffic will continue westbound past the Highway 10 ramp to reach I-35W.
Reconstruction of the interchange at I-35W and County Road H was completed in the fall of 2016 and features roundabouts at each end of the new County Road H bridge. County Road H now includes a new wider bridge over I-35W with two traffic lanes in each direction and a regional trail for bicycles and pedestrians.
