Southbound I-35W closed this weekend, August 17-20, between Minneapolis, Roseville
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Southbound Interstate 35W will close this weekend, Aug. 17-20, for resurfacing between Minneapolis and Roseville from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17 until 5 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, weather permitting. The closure is planned for the southbound interstate between Fourth Street Southeast in Minneapolis and County Road C in Roseville.
During the closure, southbound I-35W motorists will not have access to southbound Highway 280. However, motorists will be able to reach northbound Highway 280 from I-94. Access to and from local roads and the interstate will remain open between I-694 in Arden Hills/New Brighton and County Road C in Roseville. Westbound Highway 36 to northbound I-35W will be open but motorists will be unable to travel from westbound Highway 36 to southbound Highway 280.
During the resurfacing, motorists will be detoured around the closure on I-694, Highway 100 and I-94.
Motorists should plan ahead, determine an alternate route and provide additional time to reach their destinations. For real-time travel information anywhere in Minnesota, visit 511mn.org or dial 5-1-1.
