Hwy 47/Ferry Street closed for emergency railroad crossing repairs in the city of Anoka

Crews need to replace broken rail

ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Highway 47/Ferry Street closed around 10:30 a.m. this morning between Pleasant Street and Garfield Street in Anoka so crews from the BNSF Railway can make emergency repairs to the railroad crossing. A broken rail was reported shortly after 7 a.m. this morning at the crossing located just north of Highway 10.

The highway is expected to reopen to traffic at approximately 5 p.m. this evening.

During the closure, motorists are advised to use alternate routes if possible to avoid congestion and delays.
