Work will significantly impact traffic, and in order to complete the project as quickly as possible, the following work will occur:

Cold In-Place Recycling (CIR) project work

CIR is a method of removing and reusing the existing asphalt surface. It involves grinding off the top 2 to 5 inches of the existing asphalt surface and mixing the crushed asphalt with an asphalt recycling agent, and placing it back down with a paver. This work is a slow process with a train of seven vehicles spanning three hundred feet only moving at 20 feet per minute.

Read below for the the schedule and how it will impact the Hwy 110 neighborhoods bettwen I-494 and I-35E

Wed, July 19
  • Crews will be working in the left lane of westbound Hwy 110 between I-35E and Sunfish Ln. Access will be maintained to the neighborhood at Sunfish Ln. and the residential property to the east of Sunfish Ln. via the right lane and shoulder.
Thu, July 20

Sat, July 22
  • Crews will be working in the right lane of westbound Hwy 110 between Angell Rd. and Mendota Rd. There may be delays getting in and out of the neighborhood at Angell Rd. for up to 30 minutes, as the CIR train is moving through the intersection. There will be access via the right shoulder.
  • Note: The 30 minute delay for crossing the road at times is due to the coating that is applied onto the road that is sticky once the CIR is complete. Construction crews are doing the best they can to limit the impacts to the neighborhoods.
