Road closures

5 a.m. Wed, March 25 through 5 p.m. Wed, April 8
  • Hwy 3 in both directions is closed at 170th St. near Rosemount
    • Detour: Co. Rd. 50, Co. Rd. 46 and Pilot Knob Rd.

Lane closures

9 a.m. Tue, March 10 through 5 p.m. Tue, June 30
  • Hwy 3 is reduced to a single lane controlled by flaggers between 194th St. in Farmington and 160th St. near Rosemount

Upcoming

Information about upcoming traffic impacts will be posted as details become available. Motorists can expect a full closure of Hwy 3 between Co. Rd. 64 and Co. Rd. 46 for approximately 2 months. All businesses and residences will remain accessible throughout the project however, it may not be your normal route.

About this project

Crews will convert the intersection of Hwy 3 and 170th St. into a single lane roundabout; convert bypass lanes to dedicated left turn lanes at 200th St., 197th St. and Chesterfield Way; and construct a new left turn lane at 209th St. These improvements are planned to increase safety and mobility on Hwy 3. The roundabout at Hwy 3 and 170th St. will provide a safer intersection by reducing turning conflicts and slowing speeds. Conversion of the bypass lanes to dedicated left turn lanes are also expected to improve safety on the roadway.
