ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Crews will reopen Highway 316 between Nicolai Avenue and 200th starting at 7 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, and begin work between Tuttle Drive and 180th Street, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Beginning at 12 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, Highway 316 will close in both directions from Tuttle Drive to 180th Street. This section of Highway 316 is expected to reopen on August 1.
During this closure there will be a signed regional detour using Highway 61 to bypass Highway 316. There will also be a signed local detour for motorists accessing homes and businesses on the northside of Highway 316 using 10th Street east to Glendale Road, and for the southside of Highway 316 using Highway 61 to 190th Street to Glendale Road.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
MnDOT is repaving Highway 316 between the south junction of Highway 61 in Welch Township and Tuttle Drive in Hastings. In addition, crews are adding turn lanes at Oxley Avenue, Bauer Circle and Pine Ridge Road, and improving drainage on the north end of the project near Tuttle Drive.
The project is anticipated to be completed this August. Once finished, this stretch of Highway 316 will have a smoother road surface, improved safety, and improved drainage.
