Highway 2 work from LaPrairie to Grand Rapids starts July 21
DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be starting work on Highway 2 from Gunn Road in LaPrairie to the western intersection with Highway 169 in Grand Rapids on July 21. Work will begin with reconstructing the intersection of Gunn Road and Jess Harry Road. Jess Harry Road will be closed at Highway 2, and a detour will be posted to Grouse Lane to Highway 2. Motorists can expect traffic lane shifts.
This project will resurface Highway 2, improve drainage, replace sidewalks, and improve pedestrian crossings. Intersection work is expected to last through mid-August with all work being completed by the fall.
