Rail crossing replacements require detours in Angora and Ray

DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation announces upcoming detours for CN Railway to replace railroad crossings in Angora and in Ray. Closures are expected to each last one week, and work is weather dependent.

Starting Monday, Sept. 15, the rail crossing on Highway 1 in Angora will close. Traffic will be detoured on Highway 53 to County Road 87/East Leander Road to County Road 78/Brown Road. This work is expected to last through Friday, Sept. 19.

Starting on Monday, Sept. 22, the rail crossing on Highway 217 in Ray will close. Traffic will be detoured on Highway 53 to County Road 29 and back to Highway 217. This work is expected to last through Friday, Sept. 26.
