Hwy 22 St. Peter to Hwy 111 resurfacing project complete; detour to end by 5 p.m. tonight

MANKATO, Minn. —The Hwy 22 resurfacing project between St. Peter and Hwy 111 is complete and the detour is expected to be removed by 5 pm, today, Wednesday, Oct. 22, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Work began on July 14 and included resurfacing approximately 12 miles of Hwy 22, from the intersection with Nicollet County Road 20 to Hwy 111. Additional improvements included adding a right turn lane at Nicollet County Road 20, upgraded intersection lighting, and culvert repairs.

Benefits of the project include improved pavement and drainage, and increased safety with upgraded lighting, and access modifications. To learn more about this project visit Hwy 22 St. Peter to Hwy 111.

Ulland Brothers, Inc. was awarded the project with a bid of $3,873,434.47
