MnDOT Photo Contest

Help us tell the story of transportation across the North Star State. Winning photos will be featured on MnDOT’s social media and website, mndot.gov. The contest begins Oct. 12, 2018, and runs through Nov. 9, 2018.

MnDOT manages and maintains Minnesota’s state highway and interstates, many bridges and airports, ports and waterways, pedestrian and bike trails and more. We are excited to see our state’s diverse landscapes and transportation options through the eyes of its residents.

The theme of the contest is “Minnesota in Motion,” and submitted photos should focus on landscapes, byways and transportation to places in Minnesota. MnDOT will begin taking photo submissions from the public Oct. 12, 2018, and the open call will end Nov. 9, 2018.

Professional and amateur photographers are invited to submit photos. All photos should include the photographer’s name and caption/location information. Photos may be sent to socialmedia.dot@state.mn.us. The winning photo will be featured as the cover photo on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Photos should be submitted in high resolution and without watermarks. Photographers will not be paid and MnDOT will not make a profit from the use of any photos. By submitting photos, participants grant MnDOT permission to freely use and share the photos on social media and on MnDOT’s website. Participants also acknowledge they have the right to provide and give MnDOT an unrestricted license to use the photo (you can only submit your own photos, not someone else’s). Photographers will be credited by name for any photo used by MnDOT.

More information will be shared across our social media pages on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
