Watch 2021 road construction announcement for three SE Minnesota counties, cities, MnDOT
ROCHESTER, Minn. — The public can get its first look at some of the 2021 road construction projects planned by three southeast Minnesota counties and cities, as well as the Minnesota Department of Transportation by viewing recordings of the construction kickoff announcements.
MnDOT District 6 and its partners conducted three virtual news conferences last week to highlight some of the construction projects people can expect in Owatonna, Red Wing, and Rochester, as well as the counties of Steele, Goodhue and Olmsted. The announcements were also broadcast on MnDOT’s SE Minnesota Facebook group via Facebook Live with announcements for Goodhue/Red Wing; Olmsted/Rochester and Steele/Owatonna.
The joint announcements were made virtually and aimed at helping the public get a broader picture of all the road and bridge work planned during the 2021 construction season on city, county and state roads.
“We appreciate the partnerships with our cities and counties in southeast Minnesota,” said District Engineer Mark Schoenfelder, the leader of MnDOT’s southeast Minnesota District 6. “We can better serve the public by joining together in events like these to help people learn more about the construction work that will be taking place to improve our transportation system.”
