MnDOT to host virtual public meeting on May 4 for upcoming Hwy 12 project
DETROIT LAKES, Minn.—>The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, May 4, at 5:30 p.m., to learn more about the upcoming construction work on Highway 12 between Ortonville and Highway 59. A formal presentation by MnDOT will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by time for questions.
The project on Highway 12 is scheduled to begin as early as mid-May. Work will include resurfacing, shoulder widening, snow trap improvements, as well as the replacement of several box culverts. The work will take place between Highway 75 in Ortonville and Highway 59. Highway 12 will be closed to thru-traffic until October, and the detour will follow Highway 75, Highway 7 and Highway 59.

For those unable to attend the meeting, a recording of the presentation will be posted to the MnDOT project webpage, with an opportunity to submit questions or comments online.
